Flocks, a 1910 Steiff Miniature Teddy Bear, Invites Theodora For Afternoon Tea.

"THEY TALKED OF THINGS
BOTH SMALL AND GREAT,
SOME LONG FORGOTTEN,
SOME UP TO DATE.
THEY LAUGHED AT JOKES
AND SPILLED THEIR TEA
AND MADE A MUSS
LIKE YOU AND ME."

(By Seymour Eaton,
The Roosevelt Bears Abroad.)

Dear Diary, Today Flocks invited me over for Afternoon Tea in her garden, It was so beautiful today with the roses blooming all around us. The fragrance was heavenly. For tea she served us little cucumber sandwiches, cookies and fairy cakes. We drank lots of tea (and spilled a little) and had a glorious time just visiting and talking about everything under the sun. We watched as her little dog Binkie chased the butterflies. It was so funny. She couldn't catch any but she sprang up in the air and hopped about in such a silly way. We just had to laugh. I always enjoy visiting with Flocks. We have so much in common. There's nothing like an old friend you've known for years. There're so many shared memories and it's fun to relive them together. It was a fun day. I hope we get to do it again soon. Good-night, Dear Diary. *Theodora*
