*Flocks Wishes You A Merry Christmas*

[Post By Flocks] Merry Christmas! My name is Flocks, and I'm 100 years old! I'm an Early Steiff Miniature Teddy Bear from Germany. I'm only 3 1/2 inches tall. I'm made of mohair, and stuffed with straw. I just love pretty white snow. Here's a photo of me sitting in my sleigh, after decorating the Christmas tree. My Granny Square Afghan keeps me warm. We here at The Teddy Bear Diaries want to wish you all a Wonderful Holiday Season. God Bless Us, Everyone!

~Mr. Bean And His Teddy.~

I just love Mr. Bean and his Teddy. With Teddy beside him, Mr. Bean is never lonely. Here are some photos from this popular British Television show. In one, Mr. Bean reads to Teddy at bedtime. In another, Teddy goes through the wash at the laundromat. Mr. Bean is shocked to find Teddy has shrunk! He asks Teddy if he's feeling alright, and is assured that Teddy's just fine. A few years ago, I bought this replica of the bear, and now I'll never be lonely either! Teddy Bear Hugs To You All! ~Carol Jean~

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

~Post By Constant O'Malley and Saggy Bear~
Fall and harvest time is our favorite time of year. It's so much fun to roll around in the fallen leaves, and look for nuts on the ground. Constant O'Malley loves to carve pumpkins for Halloween, but Saggy Bear likes to decorate the Thanksgiving table with colorful goards. They both are looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with all their friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! From Carol Jean's Teddy Bears...

Thursday This Little Bear Bakes Pies.

With Thanksgiving almost here, this little bear is baking pies. What kind of pie do you think he likes best? Peanut Butter and Honey Pie? That sounds kind of sticky, doesn't it? How about Ants and Acorn Pie? No, that doesn't sound very good either. I know, how about Pumpkin Pie? Now that's something little bears and little girls would both like, don't you think? I hope he makes some extra for me!

Happy Halloween

~Post By Little Sugar Lump~
Dear Diary, Here I sit beneath the trees with my Trick-Or-Treat Pumpkin on my lap. I'm remembering the good time I had last year going door to door with my friends and collecting so much candy that when I ate it, it made my tummy hurt. My favorite candy is Bit-O-Honey, because, as you know, Bears LOVE Hunny!

My 12 Favorite Bears - Photo Featured At Webshots.

This has been the Featured Photo in Toys at Webshots all this month of August, 2009. Here are twelve of my favorite bears. Seven of the bears are Steiff Teddy Bears. I look at this photo and think of all the times these bears have made my life a little better, with hugs and encouraging smiles. We had a nice day taking photos in a quaint river town and I believe the bears are looking forward to their next trip and photo session. I tell the bears they're easier to take photos of than my little dogs, because they don't move around as much!

My Favorite China Pattern, With Little Blue Steiff Teddy Bears.

I love Robins. They migrate north to my garden every year on my Birthday, March 18. When I was a child, I believed they came on that day because they knew it was my Birthday! So they're very special to me. I love these antique china plates with the little robin, a rose wreath and forget-me-nots. My mother had a sugar bowl that matched this creamer and I ate a LOT of sugar out of it when I was a child! ~Carol Jean~

Flocks, A Vintage 1910 Miniature Steiff Teddy Bear Serves Tea In The Garden. Photos Featured At Webshots.

[Post By Flocks.] Dearest Diary, Today was such an enjoyable day. I rested in the garden with my dog Binky on my lap and was overcome by the beauty of the flowers around me. As we sat there, my neighbor Theodora came by for a visit, and I invited her to join us for tea. Theodora is always a delightful guest. We both love gardens and have a lot in common to talk about. As we talked, Binky chased butterflies at our feet. Luckily she's too small to jump high enough to catch them, but she's fun to watch anyway. She's so joyful in everything she sets out to do. It's impossible to be depressed when she's around. She's such a darling little thing. After Theodora went home, I brought out the bird cage so Peepers would have a chance to enjoy the garden too. Binky took a nap in the chair while I got caught up with my Diary entries. It was a lovely day, and I look forward to many more such days now that spring is here. Good-Night, Dearest Diary. ~Flocks~ [These three photos were featured this month at Webshots under the topic of Toys. The background used in these photos is an oil painting circa 1925 by my Grandfather V.V. Headland. I like to think that he would be very happy to know that I've been using his paintings in some of my photos, and that they are seen all around the world. Thank you, Grampa! CJ]
